Is the Berkeley Trilene Big Game a good casting line? Does it have a lot of memory?

Berkley Trilene XL on all my crankbait rods. I've used it for 20 years or more with no problems whatsoever.

I second Berkley Trilene XL. Same as wareagle24 I have fished tourneys and just fishing for about 30 yrs have always used trilene and have never had an issue. I use 8lb test and 10 lbs test on spinning reels and 10 lbs test on my baitcasters. I use 17 lb test on my spinnerbaits. This year i am playing with braid line to a flouro leader using the FG knot and have said many many time way am i doing this. I did buy more braid for this year but i still use trilene xl on everything else. Trilene XL all the way.

i've used Ande for many years. It's strong soft and cast long distances. It is a little hard to find in retail shops though.

I’m gonna recommend a copoly. Izorline xxx, I’ve been using 8lb for rk crawlers and is working great. If your trying to match flurocarbon line diameter usually drop down a line size in mono or copoly.

Sunline Shooter Defier is by far the best mono I have ever used. Get a spool of the 11 lb and give it a try.

If you want a high end, premium Japan made class line, Sunline Shooter Defier is among the best handling lines on the market. You'll notice a difference when you actually fish with it in terms of how limp it is and how well it casts. If you decide to try it, keep in mind that it a class line, so pay attention to line diameter in comparison to some of the other well known lines mentioned in this thread. To compliment this line, Sunline offers Shooter Defier Armilo as a lower stretch version. I find the Armilo to be excellent line, albeit not quite as good in terms of line management as the standard Defier.

6 lb. Yozuri Hybrid on most of my cranking reels including deep cranks. Diameter is equivalent to regular 10 lb mono.
