Getting a 4 stroke 250 pro xs on my 2015 21xrs. What props are you guys running??

Ran a 28 Bravo FS on my 2s 250 pro xs. I hear it may be necessary to go down in pitch. What are you guys finding best on your boats?? I added a Bailey foil because holeshot was awful on my 2 stroke. I hear the new Gen 2 TM is slightly different as to the shape. How has holeshot been without a foil on the 4s? Thanks.

Large diameter with a lot of blade surface area. Long barrel Bravos or hydromotive. seam to be ok. There are some guys talking about the performance prop. Performer 4 cut for the 4 strokes. I'm running a 300 R but having some prop problems myself.

I heard the 28 Promax does well. It is hard to believe, however, with bad hole shot it has with the 2-stroke. Do you use a ring or plugs?? Thinking of getting a V8 and want a good hole shot for sure.

I agree. Horrible holeshot with both 27 and 28 Promax on my 2 stroke. Sold them both. Now maybe I need them back, lol.

Pickup my boat on Friday to do break-in. Will start out with the 28 Bravo FS and see what happens.

I bit the bullet and ordered a Max 5 ST 25 pitch for my rig, running a 25.5 Pro Max now, thinking about getting a 26 or 27 labbed Pro Max just to have for a play prop.

I heard the labbed props aren't working well on the 4 strokes. Think guys are using the pro finish on them.just what I'm hearing.

I heard the same thing, Mercury claims you can run a full pitch more with the labbed prop, only downside I heard was the Promax slinging blades. I will wait and see how the max 5 does before I do anything else with props.
