    2004 Yamaha 225 OX66 Swivel Bracket Bushings

I am in the process of changing out all of the bushings and motor mounts on my OX66. I have movement and play everywhere. I have a feeling that the previous owner did not believe in using a transom saver that supports the lower unit when towing the boat. I definitely have play in the swivel bracket bushings (number 18 in the IPC image that is attached). It appears that the bushing is another one of Yamaha's high quality nylon / plastic bushings. Does anyone know if there is an after market replacement that is either Delrin or bronze? Thanks in advance for any input.

This is cross posted in the normal Yamaha forum as well.

That is the tilt bushings that are loose when they were new! Any competent machine shop can build them out of brass but I am guessing they wont be cheap. I am going to build a set for mine the next time it comes apart. CJ
