A plain jane one is my hunting rifle. I think those grade upgrades used to be about a $1000 or more extra per grade. If I had to guess probably $3000-$4000 but I am no authority.

It looks like a newer gun based off the wood. BEAUTIFUL! Brownings have came up in price lately and why I do not know. I would say it would be a ballpark $3K piece all day long. If it was a 60/70s model it might fetch close to $5k to right person if it had box.

I had a friend that did not know what he had. Bar II Safari in 270 Weatherby Mag that was 95%. He wanted me to sell it for him. I pitched it local and no one wanted it because of the caliber. I put it on GB and w/in 3 hours of listing I had a guy in Michigan wanting to talk to me. We talked and he bought the gun for the BIN price of $1500. He told me there were less than 500 made. I did my research before hand and tops were selling for $17-1900. He was goin to order a new stock set and put on it because it had one scratch, lol.

Was that a factory rifle? I am unaware of the BAR ever being chambered for a weatherby cartridge.

Factory gun. They are rare. Also, I forgot it had the usual scratch against the receiver under the side lever like all safaris had.

That is normal. Kind of like the scratch on the safety of a Remington model 8 or 81 or even an AK.

It is a 1973. The engravers name is etched on the side : J LEWANCZVK

From what I have been reading over the holidays, Lewanczvk was one of their master engravers.

Thats a work of art. I wonder how many hours went into the engraving...
