Gaston water color

Can someone give me a report on the water color on Gaston? Been going to buggs the last few weeks and it’s extremely muddy. Thinking about mixing it up and heading to Gaston. Thanks

Gaston is more muddy than kerr. Now I mainly fish the upper end of gaston. I fished both lakes last weekend. Gaston is fishing pretty good though.

The cleanest water in Gaston is going to be in Pea Hill creek.
Main lake looked pretty dirty on Sunday.

Don't shy away from the stained water completely, we waxed them Sunday at Buggs on lipless CB in the mid lake area, and I do mean waxed them. Water Temp was 56-57

I fished Saturday around grassy and went to mid lake and never found water temps above 53. I wasn’t exclusively bass fishing, looking for stripers and fishing bass in between. It was slow for both for me.

I fished buggs on Saturday as well. Caught 4 within 45 minutes on my first spot and never caught another fish. Kina weird.
