Who do you trust for advice on electronics?

Just wondering where I might go to get some person to person advice on next generation electronics for my 6 year old Ranger. My driving range would be Paducah to Louisville, Evansville to Ft. Campbell (western Ky). Probably some places near Ky/Barkley Lake but couldn’t find them advertised here on BBC.

The amount on info on these BBC threads and forums is a bit spread out and overwhelming.

Hi-Tec Outdoors in Draffenville is top notch in all aspects of electronics. Sale, installation, instruction. Also try Brandon Hunter for on and off water seminars. I have heard good things about FastBass Marine but have no personal knowledge.

Before talking to anyone, do you know what you want for your boat?

I am not talking about specific units but do you want Side Scan, Down Scan, Waypoint sharing, Transducer sharing, Touch Screens, Engine data display, any type of "live" or "360" add on accessories?

Do you beat the bank or are you an offshore hump/structure guy?

What do you have now...Lowrance, HB, Garmin, Raymarine?

What trolling motor do you have and do you want it integrated into your new units?

Hi tec outdoors is just about the best electronics setup shop in the nation. There’s a reason they rig a lot of pro’s boats.
