Done With Golf for a While

    Confirmed two torn hip labrums.
Arthroscopic Surgery to be set for the first asap.
Pain and muscle tightness is at a pretty high level currently.
Doc response was to keep walking and stretching.
    I held my tongue.
I was very disappointed in her response for present pain management.
I will have to seek a different alternative.

4-6 weeks on crutches. 2-6 months for rehab and then do the next hip.
So 2-3 months on crutches. 4-12 months for rehab.
I may not see the bass boat much and definitely won’t see the golf course until fully recovered.
I may have overdone the golf with some 4 and 5 days in a row golf this year.
I was pain free most all year until October.

2021 may be worse than 2020 for me.
Enjoy your golf while you can!

    Update: Polymyalgia Rheumatica
Extreme pain in joints and muscles.
My shoulders, back, hips, knees, thighs and calves all have had extreme stiffness and pain for 7 weeks.
    Steroids.
24 hours and wow, most all stiffness gone and 75%of pain.
48 hours and reduced dosage, still wow.
I can be me and do MOST all of the things I have not been able to do for the last 7 weeks, except golf and fish.
But most importantly I have hope that this pain is temporary and treatable-something I did not have 3 days ago.
I have been blessed with answered prayers to God.
Thank you for yours on my behalf.
I am looking forward to my surgery and recovery now.
May all of you have a special day today!

Good luck with the surgery. You will be swinging and casting before you know it!

Know I over did, knee got to be horrible. Finally got a steroid shot, which killed off most of the pain. Been good for about 4 months.

    Get better!
