I also got the email. Took them a while to get the email out to their customer base.

Spent the day yesterday on the water fishing and my one Bluetooth connection (Cannon Optimum Downrigger) was constantly dropping connection and then reconnecting a few seconds later... So much for improved Bluetooth reliability with a single connection.

I wasn't having this problem with 3.750 even with both my Downriggers and phone connected. Hope they get this stuff worked out in the next release.

I think SLYDoggie would be best to answer that.
Once installed you can't backdate the software.

Wow, I'm honored that Wayne deferred to me. Unless you see something in the release notes that is fixed and you need that fix, I think I would stay out on the 3.750 version. I guess it also depends on how tied you are to Bluetooth. I used it for Cannon Downriggers, RC1 Remote, and Cell Phone. I now only connect the Cannon Downriggers and I'm constantly getting disconnects and reconnects on them with the new software. I can also connect the Bluetooth RC1 Remote but it also tends to stop working and I have to pair it again and again.

I do heavily use the Bluetooth connections so, if I had it to do over, I would have waited. Again, it is really dependant on on important it is to you.

I can see where I am in the ranking! Finally got a response from my email I sent on the 12th, Thank you for contacting Humminbird. We appreciate your support of our products. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused you. This is a known software glitch and has been properly reported and they are currently working on a software update to address this matter. At this time there is not a date available that this software update will be released. Stoll no resolution though. Bob

That is the first acknowledgement that it is a SW "glitch" and they are working on a fix. I'm sure it will be on their regular Solix release schedule which tends to be every 4 to 6 months. There's always hope for something sooner... but not likely.

The "acknowledgement" itself is a big step for them

At least there is some hope you will get back to normal

The next update will most likely be when the Mega Live is released

A new Version 3.9 was just posted this evening but it doesn't appear to address the restricted Bluetooth support. Appears to only have a single change having to do with SD card support for the Solix G1s.

It states in the Bluetooth section of 3.9 update..."Improved Bluetooth reliability by only allowing one connected device-type paired to a single control head. Users may change between paired device types to make multiple Bluetooth device-type connections"...that is why only device can be connected at one time now

Every thing below this is in 3.890. It's just restated for those that did not install 3.890

    "PLEASE NOTE:
    • The only difference between 3.900 and 3.890 is a fix for SD card readers issues on the SOLIX 10 “G1”.

Thought this should be at the top again since they have yet to resolve this

Funny thing I was fishing the other day and I got a phone call and my partner say the persons name that was calling and I said how the heck do you know that? all I see is "Phone Call on this Solix"

He tells me its right there on your Garmin

I had setup the active captain (Garmins version of fishsmart) on the console Garmin unit

I had no clue that app includes phone calls and texts
it will show any name I have pre loaded in my phone or the number if its not

Shame HB can't figure out how to get 20 year old tech to work

needless to say I disabled the phone feature on the solix's
