I have a '93 XR6 150 hp that has a Hot Foot attached to it. I don't like it at all and want to hook up the hand controller again. Unfortunately, who ever installed it didn't leave the original cable still hooked up to the controller coiled up somewhere. Through research I am told it is a M2 control. I know I can buy a manual and see step by step instructions on disassembly and cable replacement. The dealer wants $200 to change the cable and remove the Hot Foot. Is this a job I should just let the dealer do or is it something I should try to do and save some money?
