What 18 ft class Bass boats are rated for 200hp?

    Recent models......I am aware of:
    Triton
    Ranger

    others???

I had a 2010 Nitro Z7 that was and loved it, but my next rig will have a 4s and curious as to what current makes have this option.

Seems like Nitro only rated the Z7 for a 200 for a year or two, then changed it to a 175. To my knowledge, none of the current manufacturers have anything under 19' rated for a 200.

The only ones I know of are the Triton 18TRX, and the Ranger 518C and L. I know the Triton is pretty damn fast with that 200.

I did some looking on this relatively recently myself as I have limited storage space and was dreaming of a new boat. I think the Ranger Z518 (18'10") and Triton TRX 18 (18'8") are the only ones out there. BassCat's Sabre is 18'1" rated for a 175, their Panteras are rated for a 200 but they're over 19 feet. To be fair, the Pantera II is only 19'1", so 3" longer than the Ranger 518; the Classic is longer I think at 19'6". Falcon has an 18' class boat, but it's rated for a 175. Skeeter's ZX200 is 19'6". Caymas's 18 footer is rated for a 175. Charger you have to get to the 296 (19'3") before getting to one that's rated for a 200. Phoenix's 618 and 818 are rated for a 175.

A properly set up Charger 186 with a 175 on the back will pass a lot of 200's

Not a new boat but there are still some well kept Champion 188 models around. That's a sweet rig. You should be able to find one of those over there in Ozarks if you are patient. Check with Ulrich Marine.

Just so happens to be a 188 listed right now in the boats for sale Champion page.

FWIW.....My 2019 Triton 18TRX is a 70 MPH boat with the Merc 200 Pro XS. Most of the people I know with same rig record very similar numbers.

Take a serious look at the 18TRX with a 200, nice boats, a BassCat Sabre with a 175 ( it will be really close to 70mph ). As stated above, the BassCat PII come in at 19'1" with the swing tongue cut under the nose of the boat, it is actually shorter then some 18'8" rigs form other companies. It is a 71 -74mph boat depending on weight.

Check out Cat Sabre Special this year, like 44K with a bunch of goodies. My 07 was a 68 mph rig. They drive like a go kart on the water.

Another vote for Triton 18 TRX.

The 200 h.p. rating is why I bought it instead of the same size 189 TRX rated for 175 h.p.

There’s a really nice looking 2019 Triton 189TRX with a 175 Mercury for sale at Pros Choice. Not what the speed differs from the 189 with a 175 to a 18TRX with a 200

Should be approximately 6 to 8 mph.

Several of us with a 18 TRX 200 Pro XS V8 and running 70 or better with just driver aboard.

The numbers I have seen for a 189 TRX seem to be in the 62-64 mph range.

I went to the build your own on ranger. for the ranger equipped the same as my classic it was 70k. Classic was Way cheaper, bigger, prob slightly faster, prob better rough water handling.... Now there are prob some things in the ranger that are better since the classic is a basic model but I love mine. It's been great. Just sayin there are other options if you are wanting a boat with a 200.

Bass Cat Sabre with a 175 will run 70. Don’t believe you will find a current 18 footer rated for 200.
