    CVA Scout .45/70

    Bought one today to do some late season deer hunting and hogs.Anybody have one??

    It’s a good platform and a good round. Might want to invest in a mouthguard. It’s gonna be a little rough on the shoulder with heavy loaded ammo.

    Going with Hornady LeverEvolution 325 gr FTX,that load should be good for deer and small hogs.Recoil should not be too bad.

    can't speak for cva, but i have a marlin 45/70 and it flat lays a hog out. fun round to play with

    Went to the range today to shoot the .45/70 not bad.At 25 yds. first shot was 1"low,next 2 shots bullseye...First shot at 100 yds. bullseye,will leave it there,will use it in the woods nothing over 100 yds.
