Washers in Lowrance Ghost quick question

Are the washers used for the lift assist the same size washers that are used when attaching the mount to the boat? Thanks.

No they are not. They are close to the same size but the mounting washers are rubber and the lift assist washers are hard delrin plastic. Also, I found on my Ghost I got last June that the washers supplied with the lift assist wouldn't fit as they increased the width of the clevis on the piston rod. In that case, the washers aren't needed.

Thanks for the heads up, I can't seem to find the washers in the parts box, but either way it was already a tight fit between the piston rod and the clevis so I will just keep it without them.

My Ghost did not come with washers either. Fits good and snug.

Same here. None in the box. With the tight fit I figured I wouldn't question it.

Called Lowrance CS as the manual references the washers but my TM didn't come with the washers, he confirmed they changed and the washers are no longer needed. 👍

I bought thin washers but could only install on one side. There was a little play but now there is almost none...

This makes sense. I got a 52 inch from Drewtick. I would assume since the 52s came out later, the change was made and none were given for it. My instructions didn't show the washers either, but I had seen them on youtube during installs.
