    Crank68 I would like your opinion on my work so far. I have wet sanded with 1000grit. You can see dark and light areas where I sanded. Plan on sanding with 2000 before I start with 3M compound. The boat is 83 Champion and has been outdoor for years. Cleaned gunnel rail with window cleaner before wet sanding. I'm concerned with this being metal flake I might sand thru the gelcoat. Will the rail if sanded right look the same and no more light and dark areas. Your opinion appreciated.1000grit2.jpg

    Sorry I missed this .... can’t tell from just the one pic what the actual color of the flake and back ground color is. From just this pic it appears the flake has changed colors. You can text me pics direct if needed. I’ll try to help. Tks.
