Weather changing will affect the amount of fishing ???

With the weather taking a change to more seasonal temps and precip, guess we will have to change our approach to fishing .Choose and pick the days we head out and be careful out there with the cold water temps. Friday is looking now as of right now might try a few hours on the water with some jerkbaits and see if anyone is biting...lol

Going out today with it being the coldest day out of the next two week forecast. Wish I had the option to pick and choose which days I go but like most I work for a living so I can't be a fair weather fisherman even during the winter. Just have to learn to adapt to what Mother Nature gives ya.

Sat morning looks good, evening into Sunday looks like rain. Not much time after work anymore to sneak out.

yeah fortunately I'm retired and can pick and choose for the most part, unless my kids call me to pick up the grandkids from school or play with the little one for a few hours...lol but that is the best part of my day usually I also try to putter around in the cellar or at my sons getting things that are broken fixed or whatever got to stay busy. Gonna try to get out either friday or sat can't get the boat wet because it stays outside 24/7 and ice isn't good in the compartment lids and so on,so I try not to go if there is any chance of showers this time of year

Well you earned it, you put your time in. You should be enjoying life. I would like to winterize the boat and get out on the ice but here in PA we haven't gotten much of a winter to speak of the last couple years.

I saw showers , not good to get the boat wet this time of year when it lives outside 24/7 so I opt out if showers are scheduled

Al, I'm getting out tomorrow. I'm terrible at taking time off so I've got a bunch of leave to burn and will get out Christmas week.

Weather is going to be in the 60's. Will throw a jerkbait and a swimbait. May not get a lot of bites, but a real shot at a big one. Lake is full of 5-7 lb fish, and they show up when it gets cold. Got a 7.56 on January 4th and I'm trying to make sure it isn't the biggest fish of the year.
