I keep hearing it will be the most expensive trolling motor to date. Will it be worth it, probably so, it will certainly be backed by some of the best service in the industry. Be interesting to see for sure.

The Charge is too expensive for what it does and if it is indicative of the Power Pole business model, most of us aren't gonna be able to afford their trolling motor either. COVID might have set them back on their project, but it sure as heck set plenty of us back too.

IF Power Pole has a trolling motor it would be smart to come out with a model that can offer spot lock at around $1,000 while also having a high end "game changer" model. It would sell better than beer and pretty much corner the market. Instead it's gonna have some feature like being "super quiet" even though people are running three loud transducers all at once, plus live well pumps, a Hydrowave, a stereo, and who knows what else. Or Titanium bits and pieces that pretty much none of us care about. I have a decades old Motor Guide that still works fine. Don't need brushless, don't need Titanium, don't need whisper quiet.
The charge is 3 chargers in one, and for my situation (lithium trolling and agm house/cranking) it was cheaper than buying different chargers to make the setup work. I havent plugged my boat in for months (excluding a tourney we had a couple weeks ago where I made sure they were topped off).

It also allows for me to use less batteries in the boat and still run all day.

As for the trolling motor under $1k, they exist and you can get one here. Good luck getting the service and support that powerpole will give, and I can tell you which one will last longer

Performance wise the trolling motor is the best I've experienced. I currently run a Minn Kota ulterra and while I will miss the auto deploy feature I will make the switch when the time comes

Using Mercury’s recent release as a guide, will we see a multi speed gearbox?

Im sure they will be expensive , I know people with them on there boats as well. However price hasnt been discussed with anyone, not even within Power Pole. Ive heard similar but at this point its rumor till pricing is released. Ghost is 3000 to 3400 so even if came in at 3500.00, for what your getting, IMO would be worth it . As I said though price is mearly speculation at this point.

Do you have any idea on when there will be an official notification or press release on the PowerPole motor?

Why doesn't power pole team up with ray marine and attack the fresh/inter coastal markets, play together on integration

That will never happen, Because they have already teamed up with Navico. Powerpole integration, charge integration, JL audio integration. Navico is even their world wide Euro, APAC market etc distributor of poles, charge and JL speakers.
