Didn't look close before I started posting - Started Crappie fishing here in Fl a few weeks ago, finding some 14 inch in a few places.
The plastic measure device is 14" max

I hear it is taking off down here, I need to put together a couple of panfish rigs. Now I use the kids poles... Zebco 33's on ugly sticks with 10lb mono... works for bank fishing, but I am wanting something with light action with a decent 1000 spinning reel on it. I don't even know what size braid to use for the light gear, 10lb is pretty thin.
I've been kicking the idea around.
Is the lake down?
Are there docks at Cutright?
lake is 0.3 ft high and dropping ....docks are out everywhere else
Good reports coming from the Cat, Raccoon if you can launch, and Lemon. Water temps down to 43 and they are catching them on jigs.
I caught some on home made blade baits last week fishing for bass. Suspect I could have switched over to fishing for crappie and done well. Was fishing out in 25-30 ft of water.
Of course that was on natural lakes up in north part of the state, but water was 40-44.

I still can't believe they actually won...Cubs Fans Everywhere
Weather going to be nice Friday. Think I will give it a try. I will report back
Since I'm boating by myself right now, having a dock in, really helps out.
I went Thurs, couple dink’s around the docks.
Found some of the crappie cribs in the idle zone, but no fish.
Ill probably go back this winter an try some more.
Didn't get to go Friday. I was sure ready to catch and release in grease. Maybe we will get another 70 degree day lol
