I have a 2008 Basscat Puma with a Mercury 250 Pro XS Serial No. 1B549967. I may have damaged my throttle shifter and need to replace it. How do I find one and is it easy to replace? I think it's a 4000 Gen II?

2008 BassCat Puma with a Mercury 250 Pro XS / 1996 Champion 186 with a Mercury 175 EFI
It interchanges with today’s shift and throttle control. Replacing is not easy as it has to come out the console opening. You may need to disconnect and tether the wiring harness inside the gunnel for access room, for the insertion and removal. It’s a difficult job if your not accustomed to it, though that’s how it went in.
Another option is to contact Service and see if they have an old handle.
