    Helix 12 Gen 3 vs Gen 4

I am trying to buy a Helix 12 Mega +, but coming from years with Lowrance. What is the difference if any in the Gen 3 vs Gen 4 - Mega +?

    Both are MEGA+.
The G3N is discontinued and the G4N is the current model.
They are the same as far as sonar/GPS functions.
The G4N has a direct connection for NMEA2000, the G3N needs a black box and Ethernet cable for the same connection.
The G4N has WiFi for future stuff.

BTW the MEGA + means more power than the older G2N MEGA units.

I have installed a 10 G4 DI+ today. The menu is very difference. I don't see how to name the unit and how to share waypoints. It is connected by ethernet to a G2N on the console. Does it share automatically??

    Yes waypoint sharing is automatic.

Have you changed the User Mode from Angler to Custom so you get all the settings?
