Water pressure gauge
2011 etec 250 ho. Water pressure gauge just stopped working, needle doesn’t budge at all. Motor pees like normal and runs fine as it should. Where would I start to look? Seems like there could’ve been something that just disconnected to not get a reading anymore. Thanks for any info

If this is a mechanical / analog gauge, then inspect the rubber hose between the gauge and the connection point on the engine block. Make sure the hose is still connected and if correct then look for blockage from debris inside the fitting at the block and anywhere in between. Clean out as appropriate. Any breaks in the rubber hose will show up as water leaks. It’s possible for the gauge to have failed too but check the simple things first.

if it got below freezing for a few days, you may have broke the bladder in the gauge. A shot of air from the motor side will tell.

if the gauge has electrical wires on the back instead of a skinny rubber water tube then it is a nmea gauge. if you have messed with your nmea network or blown the nmea power fuse that could disable it. you could also disable it using the etec diagnostic software if you have messed with that, as there is an on/off switch for it. hard to do that by accident though.
otherwise you can trouble shoot under the engine cowl. with a nmea sensor, the water pressure sensor is at the back of the engine. you will find a brass nipple threaded into the side of block with a 1/4" black rubber hose attached to it and heading vertically upward to a sensor unit shaped like a spark plug. and then wires off top of the sensor unit to a three wire amphenol sealed plug. first thing would be to check the short length of water hose is connected and you have no blockage there or at the block.
