coil and blown opti - coincidence?

I had a #2 cylinder coil go out and it blew the fuse. Replaced coil. Next trip out, motor running fine and then it blow the #2 cylinder. Did the coil going out point to any evidence of the cylinder being bad? Or just coincidence?

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!

Unlikely that the cylinder caused the coil... unless it had been down and damaged the spark plug in some way.
