    Smartcraft Gauge Speed Fluctuates

I have had my Smartcraft speedo connected to my Lawrance unit GPS for several years. I just noticed that it has started acting up. It takes several minutes to start reading at the start of the day. Then occasionally it jumps up high, drops to zero, jumps up, back and forth. Could this be a lose connection? Or an issue with the gauge or ???

Just the Merc gauge. The Lowrance unit is fine.

Which Smartcraft Instrument (specifically) do you have?

What speed inputs are active (Paddlewheel, Pitot, GPS Speed) in the instrument?
