Helix 12 DI Gen 1 Questions.

Just picked this up brand new for 900$ to use with my original 360, non mega. Couldn't pass up a 12 inch screen for that price.

1. Will I lose any imaging quality from DI and sonar by going with a TM transducer? I don't mind buying a shield for the transducer that came with it if I will get better images.

2. Also what us the best update version to run for best 360 performance. I think it currently shows 1.150.

1. First of all if you are going to do a trolling motor install, use the proper trolling motor puck version transducer. BOTH of them have extra internal shielding to help with possible RFI from the trolling motor. You loose nothing with the proper transducer, you may loose if you don't.
XTM 9 DI 25 T uses the same 2D frequencies as the transom transducer= 200/455 kHz.
XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T uses 83/200 kHz for 2D sonar.

2. The best software is the current one on the Humminbird website.
