Humminbird heading sensor and Ultrex heading sensor locations

The dealer mounted the Ultrex heading senor on the back of the boat and the Humminbird puck on the bow next to the trolling motor/Graph. I am wondering if this is the correct way to do this as it seems my waypoints are slightly off when I mark them from the console units.

The way I have them set up on the network is the bow unit is set to read GPS from the Ultrex and the 2 console units the GPS is set to the each of console units.

My set up is 2 Humminbird SI Gen 3 at the console and 1 Humminbird DI Gen 3 at the bow with the Ultrex link

    1st picture is Bow
    2nd is Console Left
    3rd is Console Right

If you want accurate GPS/Mapping, you need a GPS antenna at the transom so GPS and Sonar are at the same place, just like at the bow.

With what you have, you can move the AS GPS HS to the transom, and subscribe to that with the console units. Use iPilot LINK with the bow unit.

    Thanks Wanye, appreciate the information

With the way I have it set up now are the console unit's running off of internal GPS, if so are my way points just off the distance from the console to the transducers

Yes when you approach the waypoints in the same direction when marked. It is double the error when approaching from the opposite direction than when marked.
