Unhappy Stripped lower unit drain plug... please help!

Not sure how but I stripped either the drain screw or the threads in the lower unit gearcase! Does anyone know if the top and bottom plugs are universal? I want to try the top drain plug in the lower hole but i'm afraid of making the situation worse.
Also anyone know the part number for the bottom drain plug?

Just changed my Mercury two hours ago and they are universal if that helps. but I'm thinking not as you have an Etec whatever that is. Evinrude?

I stripped the lower drain plug threads on a 2010 Etec lower unit and used a 3/8x16x3/4 cap screw to make the repair. There were enough threads beyond the stripped ones for the cap screw to screw into. The seal will fit but you will not have the magnet, the other plug will have one for filings or chunks.

I found some stainless at Fastenal that the heads were flat and only slightly larger...or I should say thicker....works great on my noseconed lower....
