    Color match on lower unit

I need to repaint my 2006 HPDI lower unit. Where can I get factory Yamaha paint in a spray can and what is the color code for the paint? Thanks in advance.

I believe the paint code for the HPDI cowling and lower unit is NA. It's called Shiny Black although it's a dark blue metallic.

There were several different Yamaha HPDI's in 2006. For instance:

    VZ150. VZ175. VZ200. VZ225. VZ250. VZ300. Z150. Z175. Z200. Z250. Z300.

They are not all painted the same. Find the part number for the lower unit that pertains to your specific model. The last two characters of the part number are the paint code.

Using a VZ250 as an example, the part number is 60X-45300-10-NA. NA being the paint code. Your paint code could be different. A Z250 part number is 60V-45300-20-8D.

Most dealers can get you a rattle can of paint. The main paint supplier is www.colorrite.com

FWIW, I just repainted an HPDI cowling and used the Moeller shiny black in the link below. I don't have my old cowling to compare it to right now (it's in the shop), but it appears to be a lot bluer than the original. Not really an issue since it doesn't really have to match anything, just letting you know my experience.
