    the first thing i look for on a new site to me is the "contact us" page. It better have an address (US highly preferred) and a phone number..
    if still questionable i will call and see if i get an answer and can speak to a real person. Sometimes i will google the address and check out the street view. I can't think of anything i would need that i couldn't buy from a US based business..
    If the "contact us" is simply a fill in type form and they "will get back" to you, that site is immediately eliminated as a possibility for me.
