fortrex starts out good but loses speed?

So lately Ive noticed I dont seem to have the same power as normal. Bought new batteries back in sthe spring. I can put it on constant when out of the water and you can hear the motor losing speed. What is causing this?

    Check your battery voltage.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

Yep, new battery don’t necessarily mean a good battery. Check all wiring connections too, you might have an iffy connection that is heating up causing resistance.

Definitely Load test batteries, Check water level in them, clean all connections then you can move to the trolling motor. But sounds like a battery issue foremost.
