Hi all. New to the boards. Just purchased a 2019 189 TRX from a marina in Florida. Boat is used and doesn't come with a cover. Salesman told me not to buy the triton cover as its around 1100.00. So I'm looking for a good cover that will fit. It has a minn kota 112 fortrex on it so the cover has to fit over that.

I think the Triton covers list for $800 but you can probably find a dealer who will sell you one for $650.
They are very good covers and I really like mine.

The dealer said 1100.00 for the triton cover. I kind of remember the same thing for the last Triton I had. He told me they cant go cheaper and to buy an aftermarket one.
But thanks. I'll keep shopping around. Actually my neighbor has a brand new cover he never used. Still in the box. Its for a 19' tracker. Doubt it will fit but gonna try anyway.

29,000.00 and no. Also just purchased 2 new cars. But main thing is I cant see paying 1100.00 for just a cover. Especially when there's so many good aftermarket covers way cheaper. I've never been one to buy a product just because of the name attached to it.
I think the Triton cover which came with my boat is a Cover Craft and my Minn Kota 80 Ultrex fits it fine. You may be able to buy direct from Cover Craft for less than the dealer is quoting.Originally Posted by Bassin39

just because you don’t want to be foolish with your money does it mean you can’t afford it, you’re trying to be smart. I can afford a boat cover, that doesn’t mean I want to pay more than I should.

I just bought a Westland sharkskin supreme cover for my TR-186 and really like it. You can contact Westland and let them know what Trolling motor etc. and they'll tell you which cover you need. I recommend looking through the vendors on their website and shop around before ordering because the prices can be all over the place.
