    Seastar Hydraulic steering fluid

    Have to bleed/fill my my steering unit. The Seastar fluid is hard to find locally and kind of pricy. Is there an alternative that can be used safely?

    Trans fluid is all we’ve ever used....also have 3 pretty local long term marine mechanic shops, (2 master techs) that’s all they use.
