    Seastar Hydraulic steering fluid

Can a different hydraulic fluid be used to bleed/fill the Seastar? If so, recommendations?

If all your doing is bleeding air out of your system I suggest getting OEM fluid. I know it sucks paying $20 for a quart but its not like your buying multiple quarts and have to do it very often. I bought a quart to bleed mine and also bleed one for someone else and I still have 3/4 or more of a quart left. If all your experiencing is air bubbles in the system and your not massively low on fluid all you really need is a couple ounce. I know it sucks buying a quart for that small amount but as I said its not like your doing it a couple times a year.

If all your doing is bleeding air I recently made this post with some tips...

Automatic transmission fluid is all you need. It is completely compatible with the sea star fluid.

I searched on Google and see 3 or 4 places that sell it for less than $20
