LOWRANCE ACTIVE IMAGING TRANSDUCER W/ MH SKIMMER & Y-CABLE

I recently bought a Lowrance Ti2 9. It has the 3-in1 transducer. If I add the active imaging transducer w/MH skimmer & y-cable, could I still get 2D from the active imaging transducer? I don’t know if that transducer is a 3-in-1 as well, or a 2-in-1. My goal is to be able to see 2D while on plane from the shoot through transducer.

Thw transducer sold with the Y-cable is «AI 2 in 1», and that does not have 2D. Typically you would combine that with HST-WSBL or a shoot-through like PD-WBL that provides 2D.

I don’t know if that transducer is a 3-in-1 as well, or a 2-in-1.

It is easy to check. Just take a look to the label on a transducer cable near the connector, all 3-in-1 has "3-IN-1" on it. 2-in-1 have "AI TRANSDUCER" or "AI2 TRANSDUCER". It seems that there was 2 generation of AI transducers because some have @AI and some have @AI2 as prefix.
