New HB user with questions - coming from Lowrance HDS

Just placed my order in for two Helix G4N 12” (MSI + DI).

I have an Ultrex with Link capability today knowing I would make the switch in the future.

In order for all of these units to interface with one another; do I need the Ethernet Switch? I understand the 2 graphs will simply link together via Ethernet until I add more. Wasn’t sure how I-Pilot link hooked up.

    Thanks in advance!

Definitely will need the Ethernet switch to link all 3 together.

iPilot LINK is an Ethernet connection and comes with a 30' Ethernet Extension cable.
The displays have an Ethernet connection.

You need the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch to have those three devices connected together. It is 12V powered so plan its location, power source and where you can route the Ethernet cables to it.

The displays need a AS EC QDE Ethernet Adapter to connect an Ethernet cable to them.

Then you need two Ethernet cables to go between the displays and Switch. AS EC 20E is the 20' version--there are several lengths available.

Yes, one for each Helix unit.

If you had ordered SOLIX units, you would not need those adapters since the SOLIX units have the threaded lock nut port that the Ethernet cable has. Helix units have a uni-plug (cable collector) that holds all the cable plugs for quick disconnect.
