    Cx 18 S with 115

Anyone have this? How does it perform with a 115? Get on plane quick and stay on plane? Dealer told me he drove one and hit 52? This would surprise me but what do I know. Like the price point of mid 30’s but wonder how it performs so looking for someone with seat time. Thanks.

I have the CX 18 SS with Yamaha SHO 150 and I am around 57 mph, 59 once. I came from a Nitro Z6 with a 115 and averaged around 48 mph. The CX 18 is 4 inches wider and longer than my old Nitro, so I think 52 would be a stretch.

agree on it being a stretch. Just hoping someone on here has some seat time in one and can give some feedback.

I would like to get an answer to this also. Dealers to tend to exagerate a bit when it comes to speed.

The boat is pretty new so it might take some more time to get a real review. I keep checking Youtube but nothing yet.

I priced one nicely equipted (no poles) with a 150hp Mercury Pro XS and it was right at $40,000.

To be happy with the boat I would think you will need a 150hp.

I really like the layout of the CX 18 out of all the boats I am looking at.

Was this at a dealer or on their website? Only asking because to get a 150 or 175 you need to get the SS and the two SS that I have called dealers about were priced at 45 and 47K?

I talked with a buddy of mine at Caymas who knows how these boats perform here is his reply!!

No sir we don’t have this charted but 18S is 52 and 18SS is 60 and 64 with 175 hp of course this is no tackle and about 3/4 tank of fuel with two average weight guys.

You add all equipement and full tank of fuel probably looking at 48 to 50 mph, this should be very close!

My cousin has a triton 17trx with the command thrust 115 pro xs. With a full load these boats around this size are all the same somewhere between 48-52 with two guy's and half a tank of gas. I would assume this caymas to be right around the same.

You should look at the new falcon f185, starting at $35k with a 150
