Trailer jack appears to be part of trailer

Bulldog trailer jack that needs replacing. How do you remove one that is built into the trailer, not bolted on?

What's wrong with the jack? working hard? if so?

You can take it apart/ clean it/ grease it/ good as new.

Go to You tube, there are videos on how to do it.

I did mine after years of fighting with it.

took around 30 minutes to do, I did not have to take the jack off the trailer, just rotate it up. Jack it up high, put a block under the tongue, jack it down.

Got a picture? Sometimes there is a snap ring.

The bracket is welded on but all the swivel mounts I've seen the jack is removable.
Like CatFan said some have a snap, ring some have a nut.
On most jacks it's also possible to change the wheel only. How big you go depends on the bracket.. Harbor frt and some hardware stores have an assortment of wheels.
    Good luck

cut the welds and replace with a bolt on version, it isn't very hard to do with a cutting wheel on a grinder or a cutting torch

If it is like mine, use a floor jack ( use a 12” piece of 6x6 with the jack). Raise the trailer and crank the jack down until it falls out of the housing. Bulldog sells replacement parts.

Looks like a snap ring holding the jack on. Should come off easily.

When you buy a new jack, it will come with a mount, but you just remove the same snap ring from it, take it off its mount, slip it on the mount welded to your trailer and reinstall the ring.

Cant tell for positive.. There should be a lock ring around that 2" tube that the jack swivels on.. Pop it off and the jack should come straight out.

thanks guys, will give it a go. Is it an option to bolt a new one on without using the snap ring?

Why? Takes just seconds to change one with the snap ring.
