    Front deck area

Currently own a 06 Legend 186. I’ve had the boat for 10 years. I’m getting older and have a young grandson that loves to go fishing with me. With rods on the deck and the foot control I really could use a boat with a larger front deck. What manufacturer has the largest front deck on a 19-20 foot boat. Any information would be appreciated.

Jarhead thanks for the reply. Price is an issue. Looking for used. Greg thanks also. Not familiar with Falcon. As a matter of fact I’ve never seen one out here in AZ.

I doubt there is any significant difference between brands. I'll bet 19' boats, all brands, are the same within 6". 20 footers bigger, 21 footers bigger yet.

I run a ZX200 Skeeter, 19'-6. Great deck for 19 1/2 ft. boat, but less that the bigger Skeeters.

I've been in Skeeters since 2002. Love 'em. Looked hard at Nitro this year. Could get a bigger boat for basically the same price. I thought the Skeeter was a little better quality, so stayed with them, but if size is important, and budget is a concern, it will be hard to beat the Nitro.

Thanks all for the replies. I agree with MCI. The cost is a factor. A Z20 Nitro might be the way to go. Should be some good used ones on the market in the 30-35k range. Thanks again for the replies and have a Happy Thanksgiving

Don't overlook Falcon. They're not the most expensive and they truly do have the biggest deck. Every manufacturer claims they have the largest, but the Falcon 205 has the measurements to back it up. Check their website.

Unfortunately dealers seem to me mostly in the east coast / south right now.

Just build, or have built, a deck extension. It's a VERY simple and inexpensive modification.

A lot of the aluminum boats have more spacious front decks when compared to a glass boat of similar size.

Most aluminum boats have much larger decks than a fiberglass boat of the same length. Look at a Tracker 195 or Ranger RT188.

No options on it but a new crestliner mx21 is 39k with a 200hp engine, and it is the biggest deck of any bass boat made based on sq footage.

My brother recently purchased a Falcon. The deck is enormous and the boat is fast. He got it for a really good price compared to similar other boats. If you can look for a used one because it seems you can find them for less than other brands.
