    40 hp Mariner. 4 cylinder rebuild. ?

I have a 40 hp 4 cylinder Mariner that has a bad piston and the labyrinth seal on the reed blocks is bad. Are these good motors worth the rebuild. Anyone have any reed blocks laying around they want to get rid of. Ser# 0g140954

Looks like the 3267T25 Bearing/Reed Valve assemblies ARE still available for this engine. Will be NLA soon, but currently available.

Of course, there's probably a limit to what you would really want to spend on an engine of this age... essentially you would only do this if it were either a Sentimental piece, OR you intended to "operate" the engine to get the value back.

In addition to Don's post above you might consider posting a "parts wanted" ad in the Swap and Sell section. Never know what someone might have sitting on a shelf.
