I'm planning on networking three GPXMAP units together two 8612xsv units and one 1242xsv unit. Will i be able to just go via port to port with all units or is a GMS10 switch going to be needed?

If there are enough ports then just unit to unit. I believe they all have 2 ports on each unit.
