    What silicone is recommended for redoing motor bolts??

    I have to remove the motor to replace my steering cables ,what silicone should I get for resealing after this is done ?? Thanks in advance

    3M 4200 or life calk . Don’t use 5200 it’s permanent

    I use Startron Starbrite Silicon sealant, it is rated above/below the water line and isn't an adhesive. As long as it is above/below water line you're good to go. Good stuff.

    4200 is what I used

    Do not use the 5200 because it makes a permeate bond. The only way your removing it is buy using an air chisel. The 4200 makes a water tight seal and the bolts can be removed if need. With the 5200 there in there for good.
