Do you guys run non ethanol only?

I have been, and she certainly seems to like it, but it gets awful costly.

I say no only because every once in a while I am not near one of the very few pumps near me. When I do not, I always treat it.

Even being near Lay we only have one non ethanol shop anywhere close so it’s not possible sometimes

Bullet 250, you have a recipe you can share? I use quicksilver stuff when
i have to go with regular gas but love to hear what the best to use is.

I rarely use ethanol free in my 99 Mercury Optimax and have has zero issues in 10 years. Not to say something won’t blow up tomorrow but I do run Quikleen and Sea Foam with very tank.

Have a 2005 Opti, used often., Bay boat 1998 Johnson 200 not used enough. Opti no issues with ethanol, After having carbs re-built because of ethanol/water in the carbs, only use non-ethanol for the Johnson. Use the engine and should not worry about the ethanol.

I only use non ethanol. The store right down from my house has it. My motor just likes it better. It idles much better on non ethanol. And my fuel line lasts longer and the fuel filter looks better when I change it. I used to have issues with injectors getting stuck open too and I don't have that issue with non ethanol.

I've used only 89 octane with 10% ethanol for many years now. Never had a fuel related issue... use the Mercury fuel products and keep the tank full. Works well for me, no reason to change my process or pay more for fuel without ethanol. The engines were designed/built to run up to 10% ethanol.

I always run non-ethanol in my 150 Merc 4s. Also add Sea-Bil 360 marine in every tank.

Can only find high octane fuel without ethanol here. Opti calls for 87.
And Don's cocktail which cost $40 for my full tank.

What is "Quickare"? I have heard of using Quickleen and Sea Foam. I bought Sea Foam religiously until a prominent Mercury mechanic at Lake Fork told me that he didn't really know what Sea Foam was supposed to do? I figured that if he did not recommend Sea Foam to all of his Mercury customers, I may be being too anal?
