I was going to move the portion of this post over to the Yamaha motor section, but thats beyond my capability, lol
Ok So I pushed in on the button on the bottom of the throttle lever and thought I could feel the soft start and then it felt like it firmed up, like it was moving something.
Motor was level in a water flush bucket and fuel bulb pumped up until firm.
Turned key to on without starting
Pushed in key to enrich fuel system, let go of push
Turned key to start. No fire after about 5 seconds. Key back to on.
Pushed key in again, and turned to start. No fire.
Again, no fire
Held in key and turned to start,, no fire
Started thinking of Jerry and his 7 pushes, lol
About the 5th time she fired off. Died, push in again and fired. Kept her running by pushing in the key every now and then.
Once she smothed out I moved the throttle lever back and forth, still nothing from the lever that affected the rpm's. Got in and worked the hot foot and rpm'@ reacted accordingly.
I need to figure out the fast idle feature off of the throttle lever.
Maybe something I'm doing wrong with the throttle lever. The lever will not move forward when I push in the bottom button until I pull up on the throttle lever handle lock. I assume that is correct method of engagement for free acceleration.
