Is a 45" shaft on a Minn Kota Ultrex on a 195 TXW a good choice?

So I have a 2021 Tracker 195 TXW. I have decided on the Minn Kota Ultrex 80 ln thrust in a 45" shaft. Is that a good choice? Does anyone have experience with the Ultrex on a 195 TXW?

I don't know about the 195 but my PT190 floats high at the bow. When I am fishing I normally stand at the bow so my 45" Ulterra does fine. If I choose to operate the TM from the drivers seat at the console it tends to cavitate a little bit due to the bow rise. Mild chop and it cavitates a lot. I recently upgraded my GEN2 Ulterra to a Gen2 Ulterra with LINK as I am upgrading all of my electronics with GEN4 Humminbirds. I had to go with the 60" Ulterra because they don't offer anything between 45&60".
    Just something to think about.

If the 195 sits up any higher in the front than the 175 and 190 I'd go with the longer shaft just to be safe. Slick calm water the 45" should be fine but if you're crazy like me and fish offshore with the wind howling and boat rocking and rolling you'll want that longer shaft. On my 175 the 45" is barely adequate but I'm also a madman when it comes to the offshore bite so take what I say for what it's worth, lol.

I have a 2017 195 TXW with a 54" shaft Motorguide Xi5. The stock Minn Kota was a 45" shaft, I believe, and any wave action at all would cause the prop to surface constantly. The bow sits pretty high so I strongly urge going with a longer shaft.

Good choice. It gets frustrating when the prop won't stay hooked up in big rollers.
