been looking for something i can crank at the 2 to 2.5 foot range, have been using mann 1- and timber tigers but feel the after 5 or 6 boats go though a flat they get tired of that look and sound, usually fish it on 14# mono

Might wanna look on ebay for some old rebel lures. They had a bunch that only went down 2 feet. Storm subwart kinda dived down a bit. Shallow fat rap was a great one but not cheap.

You might consider the smaller bullshads and bullherring. They are slow sinkers but don't run deep at all, and easy to wake them. Very natural looking, and catch a lot of bass.

Rebel humpbacks definitely still catch fish.

Rebel humpback!!! Couldn't think of the name!! Some of the rebel crawfish baits were shallow runners, designed for creek fishing. They could be an interesting option. If you have a rod with 20# mono, some baits will run shallower. I got an old Excalibur swimming image bait, might work for you if you want it.
