    Lake Gaston Trip

I went to Gaston last Wednesday thru Saturday and had an awesome trip. We caught a nice mixed bag of Largemouth, Spots, and Stripers.
Most of the fish were caught on swimbaits and spinnerbaits. Best of the catch was a 4lb Largemouth, a 2lb 10oz. Spot and two 23" Stripers. We brought enough
fish home to have a big fish fry. Also saw a flock of wild turkeys with a big Tom in the back of Pea Hill Creek.

Nice! how was the water clarity? I would like to head down there but didn't want to try it if it was going to be chocolate milk colored.

Visibility on the main lake between Ferncliff and the dam was between 12" to 16". Pea Hill Creek from the mouth to the Rte. 626 bridge was clear, past the
bridge was slightly stained. Most of our fish were caught on windy main lake points. I actually like some stain in the water.
