    2015 TXW 175 prop question

Hi all, I am new here. Bought a 2015 TXW175 with a 60 horse Mercury 4 stroke and really looking to get a little more top speed out of my boat. I have a 816706A45 prop on and I just have no clue if this is a black Max or just a stock prop. Any help appreciated, I bought the boat about a year ago, looking up this model number it matches up with a black Max.

Perhaps the black Max is stock, if there are any better props out there for improved top end speed I would appreciate the advice.

    I think 34-35 mph under 5500 rpm.

That's pretty good as is you may gain a little by going with a 3 blade stainless in 13-14" pitch range. Turning Point makes a mach 3 stainless prop for that gear case size, there are a few others I am sure but I am not familiar with what all is available for that size motor.

That's a 14P Black Max. You could try a 13P Black Max and not be out too much money in the experiment. Gain a couple a couple hundred RPM and hopefully a couple miles per hour. At 35MPH, you going about a fast as a 60 will go. Might be able to hit 38 when the stars align.

What RPM do you recommending running the engine at for top speed ? I’ll check my RPM when I take it out this weekend. Any thoughts on this prop ? https://www.boatersland.com/mwc993406.html

Michigan Wheel makes good props, that seems like a good deal on that Apollo.

13p Powertech nrs3 is my suggestion. The nrs3 works really nice on the Revolution hull.
