    Anyone else here make crankbaits

I’ve started making baits again this is what I have so far. I’m hoping it leads to a side hustle.

Been learning while being stuck home more this year. Haven't found a way to make them in that quantity yet but working on it.

The hard part is tank, or swimming pool testing the baits. Wood baits are very hard to get right from shop to customer. Many hours of hard work. Have you ever tried making them out of Azek boards? Something to think about.

I take them to the lake and make a full cast with each one to tune. I think you get a better idea of ow they run than just doing a tank test. I get very few baits that I can’t tune. Definitely time consuming. I prefer balsa.

I make them too. It is a labor of love for sure. I spent a few hours yesterday tuning about 40 more. I am lucky to have a small pond out back that I can tune them in.

Rich makes some great baits. They run great and catch fish.

I hand carved some two years ago and it is fun. I have a few that are fish catchers. Your baits look really good. Hope it works out for you.
