Was looking to go the third week in December. I have never been there and was looking to get some information on what areas of the lake are the best for that time of year. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have good mapping with shading , water is lower and some areas are very shallow. Jigs, Alabama Rig, Slow Roll Spinner Bait and so on. Fish up towards Dayton and Hiwassee area on the lake.

Agreed with dryhorn2 the lake will be at winter pool and places get very shallow. Try to find what grass will be left and you will find fish.
