    Ghost directional arrow replacement

For those of you that have replaced the directional arrow, did you just pry off the old indicator? A tech sent instructions, it shows a picture of it being pried off with no written instruction on this specific step. Just want to make sure this the correct way. I have sent 2 emails asking this with no response.

    Thanks

Why do you have to replace it? Just wondering 'cause I haven't had any problems with mine.

Not matching the lower unit direction. It is a known problem with Lowrance and they have shipped the parts to fix it.

Huh, lucky me. I never seem to have these issues. Thanks for the clarification.

He must be replacing the Teflon disc with the new white one. Mine never seemed to have that problem either, but lots of guys appeared to have it.

Yes you simply pry it off; very easy and doesn't damage anything. Then you peel off the black ring in the center, clean off any glue residue, then peel and stick the white teflon disc in the center. Then just press back in the arrow. It will spin smoother and more quietly.

Got the replacement Saturday. The old one was white so I guess it was the new one. Replaced anyway.

Guessing I will still have the misalignment issue.
