Helix 12 MSI G3n powering down

Hey guys I seem to have an issue with my console units. Yesterday I ran a Helix 12 MSI g3n with MSI transducer on transom. I had a Helix 10 gps g3n cross-sharing it’s info via Ethernet 5 port box. It ran great for about 2 hours or so and the Si on the 12 just stopped accepting data as well as the sonar on the 10. So I powered them down and restarted both units. Same thing!! What’s causing this. I have a 5 amp fuse for 12 and a 4 amp fuse for 10. Each power cable is ran to a busbar underneath the console. And then 12g wire ran to battery to power the busbar. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

What does the Voltage readout show for your units?

Just hooked them up in garage and both are reading 0 volts! That seems to be the problem. I guess I’m gonna re run both of these power cords to dedicated busbar straight to battery. What do you think Wayne?

If it was really 0, the unit would not come on.

I have a Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N in my lap and it shows a voltage readout in Normal and Simulator.

Do your units have current software?

Yeah that’s what you would think right. They both readout on system status at 0.0 V.
    The 12 is 1.94 version. 10 is 2.1

Just hooked them up to separate and dedicate battery and still 0 v reading. I’ll update each unit like you mentioned Wayne and see if the reading reads correctly. Thanks

I updated software and the voltage reading changed to 11.9V
Went out on lake and units still seemed to do the same thing after a couple hours. Checked voltage and notice that 8.8V meant I needed a new battery. New battery and all is Well.
