I'd assume that the 225, 250 and 300 HPDI have the same gearcase and ratio and fit the SHO.... But I'm not sure 100%

Not sure about the gear ratio or other differences but the sho has low water pickups in the nose cone the hpdi has the water pickups in the mid section. Sure someone else knows all the details but this is all I can muster

Negative... The 225, 250 and 300 VMax HPDI has the low water pick ups. I know because I run one on my 250 OX66.

I am corrected. So what is the difference?
Quite a few differences. Large and small. For instance, different casing, different gear ratio, studs versus bolts, water inlets, trim tab, etc..

What ratio is the 250 SHO? Are you saying they won't fit or work on eachother? SHO and HPDI and OX66?
What is the difference in the casing and trim tab?

Only way to know for sure, that I know of, is to get one and give it a go.
