Was suppose to be announced to the public on Feb. 1, 2021. With an availability date of March 2021. Humminbird was not happy this got leaked.

How do you know they weren’t happy?

You are correct. Solix G1 is not Mega+.

If I were in Humminbird's shoes, I would like that this is out there to slow down Garmin's serious intrusion into the crappie fishing market.

But the real question is will this really be compatible with a Solix G1

Yeah, if it's an Ethernet accessory, you wouldn't think it would make much difference whether it's a + unit or not.

No

You need a Solix G2 to connect the M360 too

But you can view the M360 on a G1 via the Ethernet from a G2 with M360 connected to it

So since this new live is an Ethernet device it would make sense that a G1 can see it

Two specific things in the announcement caught my attention... 1) Wider beam and 2) no gaps in image. Those are two of the major things keeping me from going for LiveScope. Combine that with Mega+ quality and I think it will be a real winner.

Why would you need to run both M360 and Mega Live, if Mega Live (hence the name) is going to provide Mega+ quality imaging? I'm going to need to see it in person before pulling the trigger, and not the scans at 50ft, no wind, flat calm M360 videos you see on YouTube and other sites. Yes I'm clearly skeptical, but also hopeful that it delivers what HB users have been waiting years for! Might also be a nice option to have a M360 style pole mount too!

Exactly and why some are running MEGA 360 and Garmin LiveScope together.
